Although some years ago were not as widely used, currently the PowerPoint presentations may not be missing in any thesis defense. For this reason and because we know that nerves can take over you and leave you out of ideas, here are some guidelines that you just have to worry about doing what you have to do: stand out.
First stage of the thesis: introduction
- It is important that you check several times the information in the introduction of exposure, as these first minutes will act as a framework for the slides.
- The title of the dissertation should make it bold and centered. You can not forget to include the name of your university department and the delivery date in a smaller typeface.
- The next slide your thesis will be called “recognition” or “thanks” and in it you can include the names of your advisers and those who helped you get the job done.
- On the fourth slide you can put a brief statement, which rests on slides with data, statistics and interesting images.
- On another slide, you will talk about the importance of research carried out.
- You can not forget to do a list of the questions asked throughout the research.
- Finally, you can include an overview of relevant books and previous experiments carried out by specialists in the subject.
Second stage of the thesis: How did the work?
- A good idea is to use a slide to detail what were the methods used to find an answer to each specific question. Do not forget to justify.
- Included graphs, tables and diagrams reflecting the results of your research.
- Details the critical discoveries that validate or refute your hypothesis.
Third stage: To close
- Expose your conclusions and findings relevant to the field of study.
- Contact the limitations they faced during the investigation.
- Suggested alternatives for future research and leaves some unanswered questions to show your interest to continue studying the issue.
